Lighting issues plz help

Iv been running cfls on my seedlings but I cant cover the area I germinated too many seeds thinking my success wouldnt be as good. I have a 1000w MH on a dimmable ballast can I run it at 50% ? And how far away can I keep it? Ill be picking up a flourescent on payday but will the mh work until then?

Sure itll work. 1000 W. dimmable, turn it down & keep light 3' or more away if ya have room.

Hell yeah I have it at 50% I have plenty of room its hanging about 4 ft I used my hand as a guide for distance with the heat
