If you're gonna buy a cheaper light, check out the ones that Marq finds in the Best Deals thread. This Sunraise for $89 doesn't look too bad for a cheaper 240 watt light. All I have are HLG lights for LED, but this is crazy cheap. It'd be sweet for a 2x2 or ok for a 3x3.

Well no my grow area in the bed room is about 4 feet by 4 feet and my other room is a bathroom

Why would you use a whole bedroom of your house to grow a 4x4 area?
I woul like to spend under 300$
On like a 2 by 4 foot coverage light or 5 by 5

HID then. HPS and MH. MH for veg and HPS for flower. You could get a couple 600 watt setups or you could get 1000 watters. 1000 watts will give you a little more coverage and probably higher yields.

The 1000 watt HID could cover a 5x5 decently.
For a 2x4 I'd get something else.
You could get 2 of those $89 lights and turn them down for the 2x4 area, and Get a 1000 watt HID for the 5x5. You should be able to get all that for around $300.
Even one of those 240 watt $89 lights would be OK for the 2x4.
