Lighting question...

:?: I am running a 150 watt HPS light on my four plants, it is currently about 6-7" away from highest plant. Is that to close or to far away?

For seedlings that small you should move the light back a few more inches till they grow a couple of nodes. In veg I keep mine no closer than 6-8" inches and in flower drop it to about 4" from the tops.

Btw nice clean little set up you've got there.

Thank you! I will try that, I am also trying a new light cycle for veg (12 on 5.5 off/1 on 5.5 off). This is my first time so I am taking a lot of notes!

Light cycle is bad unfortunatly, sorry dude stick to on and off once a day like 18/6 or 20/4.

As long as temps are ok it'll be fine but to be safe back of a few inches like Kawwizir says then move it closer if they handle it, 150 is not too bad. If you doing for a whole grow flower early as not a hell of a lot of light penetration on four plants. Peace and nice setup.

Thanks for the info, I have changed it back last night so I hope I haven't shocked them, I also moved my light a little higher as well. Thank you again.

plants need time to change cycles from light to dark, they do different things and produce different hormones hence why we get the light dark cycle like in nature, light dark, light dark in the same day just gona confuse the plant and throw it of optimun growth probably. Intrestingly enough even with 24 hours light a day plants still take a 4 hour break to sleep basically. Peace
