I am growing critical xxl and I have 17 x 30 day old plants under a 600 watt hps light. Will these plants get enough off this one light or should I replace the 600 with 2 x 250 watt lights?
 
Yeah you don't give any clue as to how your grow area is setup. If you have an additional 2 250 watt lights I'd add those to the 600 if possible.
 
So today i noticed in my fabric pots roots peeking through as i was watering. I did my research and i know it is perfectly normal and safe though they have been in veg for a little over a month i decided to switch to 12-12 now my question is my 600w led light has both veg and bloom i been using both during veg should i just go red or all colors during flowering

In your first post you say you have an HPS. If it's an LED use both veg and bloom and add those 250 watt lights as well.
 
Add 250w? So my 600w isn't enough? Sorry this is my first time growing not gonna lie. Every thing is looking great and well just trying to get the best in my grow tent
 
Would be helpful to know sq footage. Figure on 30-50 watts from the wall per sq ft for leds. What brand led? I would guess that the 600w light is actually pulling around 300 watts from the wall. With 17 plants in fabric pots, what size? Even pot to pot yeah add both 250s.
 
I have just added a 1500 watt duel spec light. So running this with my 600 watt hps light, should give me enough light???
