Hey guys, I'm new to growing but I've been doing my homework, and some seemingly stupid questions still just refuse to be answered.
So I'm making a box out of a dresser (cutting the faces of the drawers off and re-attaching them so it's very stealthy furniture) and I'm wiring the inside for 2 CFL's. I'm gonna get 105w's or 150w's, which equal 420w incandescent or 600w incandescent. I don't want to burn the 2-3 plants I can fit in this dresser though, so maybe just the 105s. I'd like to know if this will be an appropriate amount of light for 2 plants? (I'll be switching the 6500k bulbs for 2700k bulbs when it's time to flower, but for veg time, I'll keep 6500k (unless 5000k would be better?))
For wiring the stupid thing, I don't really want to kill myself, I've electrocuted myself a couple times doing various electrical work around the house over the years, I'm not qualified, I'm not stupid but I'm not an electrician either. Will I be able to use http://1000bulbs.com/product/53688/SOCK-L9063.html this socket type for http://1000bulbs.com/product/6051/FC105-S65.html these light bulbs? They're both medium (E26), and the wattage says up to 600 on the socket, and the bulbs are 105w (420w equivalent). But I know from nearly starting a couple fires that sometimes the numbers aren't everything. Perhaps someone with experience using these type of bulbs could walk me through installation?
Is there a better way to do this?
Any advice for a first grow op?
Thanks a ton I really appreciate any time you waste on me
