Lighting situation

Hey everyone i need a little bit of help. i've got a nice little fellow growin, (its a ak47 x with northern lights 5 xdiesel) anyhow i'm looking to bring it inside and flower it inside, i got my buddies 1000watt sunlight supply inc. ballast wit a 1000watt hps bulb at the moment. however this is going to be way more power than i need, is it possible to use either a 250 or 400 watt HPS instead of thousand, are ballasts backwards compatible like that?

If your plant was grown (vegged) outside and you are going to flower inside, you are definitley going to want at least 1000 watts of top lighting and SIDE lighting would significantly increase your yield.....

how big is the plant?

its about maybe 14" , real bushy though cause i've been supercropping, pinching and training it a bit

hmmm.... 14 inches.... if you flower now I guess you could get away with a 400watt bulb...

how many clones do you have,,, maybe you will want a 1000 watt HPS to flower 50 rooted clones :)

yes thay are, al the ballasts we use have bin fine my mate is runing a 400w mh bulb for small veging plants in his 600w hps or mh ballast rite now, and i had a 250w hps bulb in my 600w hps ballast with no probs,,good luck:peace:

Guys i have all system 400w mh i need 250w hps if some body need change my system for 250w hps i can make deal Just London Ontario its work good and i have big cabinet is too warm 40 C its not good .I have just one fan.Guy my system is 3 months old i thing is good buissins ....

NO,,if it just a 400w mh ballist it will only do 400w mh and 250w mh bulbs,
if you have a dul or swich over ballist you can use both mh and hps bulbs,,:peace:

ok Dog ...Thanks man ...But my 400w system is crazy too hot...I need sale my system or make deal for 250w hps system.You think is good deal>>??
