Lighting up a 12 x.36 grow room.

what's your budget to light the 12x36?

also what is the height of the space?

that will probably help narrow down your options.

you could do the Alibaba bar lights for way less than HLG but you mentioned you wanted decent customer support. I've never ordered from them so I'll let someone who has tell you their experience.
Trying to stay under 8k if possible. The ceiling is 10 feet. Thanks.

Don't forgot those pesky bulbs that only last a few grows!! You're looking at a 40% cost savings on electricity alone when switching to led. That's a LOT over a 1 year period. And don't the big lights require some kind air flowing through the hood? More juice and space there. Watts means heat regardless. I mounted my drivers outside of my tent to reduce heat, but if you need heat, leave them in, and run a fan across them to circulate the warm air.
I'd go with @ilovereggae suggestion, bunch of qb120 boards from HLG. Great service, great product, killer bang for your buck, and they don't require a heatsink :blsmoke: Mine have been on every single day for 18 months without issue, I love them. Gonna buy more when I build my next light.
I'm going to look into those qb120 boards when I get back home later. Thanks.

actually looks like they are sold out atm.

the next cheapest option would be to do a bunch of QB96. I think @PJ Diaz could recommend best solution here. 10 ft should be plenty of height and this might work out to be more cost effective with the sf u have to cover.

altho I'm not sure if u want all that red in veg?

I think you would need 75 QB96's @ 180w each to cover that space. Just for the lights and the drivers cost (not including shipping), you'd be around $9k unless you can leverage a bulk discount.

he's just looking to veg not flower. so wouldn't need quite so many. 40-50 should be fine?

I'd contact HLG about the 120's, see if they have any in stock, or when they're expecting them. Seems like they go out of stock for a couple weeks, but they restock frequently. Might get a bulk discount as well.
