Lighting with photoperiods

I use wifi smart switches connected to Google Assistant as timers. The time is set by Google's time servers. When the clocks go forward or back for DST the time changes automatically, so when the clocks go forward they get an extra hour of light and when the clocks go back they get an extra hour of darkness, it never seems to make any difference.
My plants don't participate in DST.

Mine have to, because I have to. TBH now I have used smart switches there is no way I'd go back to traditional timers, digital or mechanical.
I don't mess with mine. So my dark cycle is either 7am-7pm (falling back shit), or 8am-8pm (springing forward, lol). I actually put a sign on the outside a few years ago to remind me, lol.
