I have been looking around and have seen a lot of different lighting ratio's, and now when i think about it I am not sure which one will work the best. What are your lighting ratio's throughout the plants life. Right now my seedlings are on a 24/0 ratio then i planned on going to 20/4, 16/8, 12/12. From what i have gathered this seems to be a one of the most common lighting schedules i have seen so i went with that.

best is a tough one, just plain old 18/6 works well for veg, 12/12 for flower
but you got to think some strains are going to be a bit different, so best could be a moving target

because there is less stress on the plant due to shifting light schedules, its flowering its whole life, and if u plant in a huge container u dont have to transplant at all during your grow.... just my experience

So your saying that the sex of the plant is not predetermined and that the seed/plants living conditions can affect the sex that it will turn out to be?
