what is the lowest amount of light u can have on one sprout???

Have sprouted with as little as one 40 watt cfl (equal to about 13 watts incandescent). A seed will sprout in dark for few days if needed.

A 40 watt cfl is equal to a 150 watt incandescent. But to answer the posters question, you can get away with one 42 watt cfl per plant.

you could pull it off with a 23watt cfl for a sprout, but i woulden`t recommend useing this low of light output for anything more then a young sprout
