Yes, I would say if someone was looking for a signature and had good enough equipment to penetrate through the apartment building to my closet, my 10 lights would create some interesting conversation.

Than again, I have deputy sheriff living a couple of doors away and a state trooper in the next building. I will not even talk about how close I am to the local government buildings. Dewd!!! Now I'm officially paranoid!

//warning major rant// I love growing pot. Is there anything more harmless in our country than a guy growing his own dope in his own home!!! Arg!! Just pisses me off. I serve our country in the military, am a good father and provider, and other than occasional speeding ticket, break no other laws. I pay my taxes (ok most of them). I barely even drink anymore. I work hard and have my little closet grow. We have real enemies who want to destroy this country (and many others), and our government is spending resources looking for my grow!! Wow it pisses me off!!! I have to be paranoid in my own home for about something harmless which I grow for me. Fuck it pisses me off!!! //end rant//

make sure not to over pay for supplies. Most online stores mark their prices up so much, that I can't believe they are still in business.

The cheapest online stores that I have found are High Tech Garden Supply, Hydroponics | Hydroponic Supplies, Texas Hydroponics.

hey guys dont mess with the 10cfls and spending 50 bucks for veg growth I was walking through Lowes today and spotted a 175w MH security light ficture for 25bucks. It looks like the flood lights on electrical poles. It comes complete with balast and bulb. The balast is built in is the only problem i really see with it. For budget I dont think that can be beat. I am going to pick one up tomorrow.

Cool find. However, some of us use CFLs for different reasons. Very little heat, very flexable and very easy to use in tight quarters.

Also, keep an eye on CFLs. You can buy 4 26w for $9 right now. Soon you will be able to by the 42's the same way. Simple rule of supply and demand.

Yes there is a possibility, but a very small one if that. I have 6 CFL's in a small grow box and doesn't get higher than 82*F in there. Good ventilation is key as well as a an oscillating fan blowing around the plants. Just be smart about how you mount and hook up your CFL's. Try to stay away from cardboard if at all possible.

I have a brick house and in the center under 3 storeys and on the dirt i have the ability to setup a grow area.

Well i couldnt find it but i think it was like this:

You use certain material that doesnt absorb heat too well with space between these materials(its like a wall) than you have a bunch of fans blowing through that space which basically covers tha heat signature behind that wall...also i heard you have to keep you plant elevated off tha ground or sumthin like that

ill try and search through tha forums for it and hit you back up, but ^ thats waht it basically is

By the way, I dont hear or read too much about heat sensors on this online forum, is it that its not that big of deal for small grow op, or do most growers just not give a fuck? I was reading on another grow forum of some old lady getting popped for growing 2 plants under a 400w mh, that old bitch was chatting about that shit while she was in court waiting to see the judge for her charges, aint that some fucked up shit!
The more info on heat sensors will be greatly appreciated by the few that do care about the boys in blue and there fancy little toys!

all you need to do is have some fans constantly blowin on or near tha lights
and it should keep it cool enough to be unoticeable just keep an eye on temp. and manage your a/c in tha right positions
