Lights and Co2

How do you figure how much space a paticular light will cover? Also how important is CO 2 to a succesfull garden? Also how does this "mylar stuff work? Ive got 114 square feet of space that I want to use and just trying to get some info. On a side note how much space will a 1000w hps cover??

CO2 is needed in a closed grow. Usually you have enough CO2 in a house if you are using regular ventilation.

Mylar is 99% reflective when perfect but drops fast when creased, dirty, etc. Flat white paint is 90% reflective, durable and washable.

There is more CO 2 in your house then outside...almost double in some areas.

Mylar is good...and it is cleanable....but any crease, fold , bend or what have you can laser beam your plant. If I had the option I would use paint.( I don't )

As far as how much space the light will cover ( distance vs lumens ) it should say on the box or the place you got it from should tell you...I don't have a 1000 w HPS myself ( only 300)....but I bet you can probably grow alot of weed with one of those.

You've got 140,000 lumens from that light and you want seven to ten thousand lumens per square foot of growing space, so about 20 square feet or less.
