Lights at the right height

So we got two 200W LED fixtures installed over the plant. The height is about 8" off the top. The mini lights are on a smaller grow on the other side. Is this too close? Also, how much should I be trimming when taking the larger fan leaves? Thanks

Damn bro, lol!. I would actually raise that a little bit, the par is probably pretty high as well as the temperatures. Bring it up a little bit and have a fan blowing on the plant / light. You can see that directly under the light, there is discoloration.

Yeah this may be from a small over add of notes. I have added regular water and checked the pH. It was around d 590ppm before 5 gallons of water was added and pH is around 5.1. I will raise the lights up a bit and hopefully that helps it. That and maybe LST it. There is a fan on the plants already. Thanks.

Looks way too close to me...one of my setups I run 100w worth of led globes in a 6 way splitter in a 70x70 and it sits around 24" away as seedling (as it is now in the photo) and move it to 16" when it starts to flower. At 24" the lights putting out around 380umol/s, at 16" it puts out around 700umol/s and at 12" it puts out 950umol, and that's only 100w worth of 2700k/4000k with a.few Watts of 660/IR/UV.


Is that 200w actual, or 200w equivalent? I also wouldn't be removing fan leaves for no good reason.

this one here was grown with only 85w at 16" during veg, this was at five weeks.



I don't think lights need to be that close unless the 200w is a bullshit quote. I have some 25w LEDs (small quantum boards with 150 samsung diodes) and they will burn a plant if ran at 7" (I know personally).

your plant is saying it is too close

top leaves are bleached and not praying as it should

with light less is more... you just need strong light for bloom/end bloom

Thanks guys, I made the light higher around another 8-10". For trimming fan leaves, some were just huge and hanging over new growth. I trim the massive leave to get light on the new growth

Thank you. Still trying to figure out how to like a comment haha. Had a small issue last night. Apparently one of the lights became undone and the Cobb ended up touching the smaller plant and toasted mayne 3 leaves. I put it back up and hoping it turns around. The larger plant is doing much better with the lights higher. More full green. Still not happy with what I potentially see but this was the fastest growing. Thinking the adage of males grow faster is true. Anyome agree? Thanks again for the help everyone

males usually how bananas earlier than females showing preflowers. Not fastest growing i think.

So this one ended up being a male so I cut it. The smaller one I have is showing female. The issue is, the female is in a smaller net pot and roots are more established. Should I leave it in the small net pot or should I cut the net pot away and switch it to the larger pot? I want to give it more space and better lighting. This is currently with another type of plant all together right now.

Leaves are withered in spots from when a light fell and dried a few leaves out a few weeks ago.
