First places on the list are Ireland (where my wife's people came from) and then Wales (where my people came from). We yanks often have a tendency to romanticize the "old country" - provided we even know where the fuck we came from! After that, I'd like to hit Spain, and some spots in the Mediterranean. Uruguay is another spot we're eyeing as well. Shit, lots of places on the list!

Ive completed the Med i reckon...i have massive soft spots for Verona in Italy and an out of season (cause it gets too busy) Dubrovnik in Croatia. Spains also great, i could see myself living somewhere like Barcelona for a bit pretty easily.
Will probs move back to Portugal one day. Ive never done Uruguay or any of S. America but its only a matter of time... my last count i was on 37 countries. Chile and Colombia are high on my list, everyone i met in Central America told me to go to Colombia, wasn't expecting it, Medellín in particular...it peaked my curiosity for sure...

I don't doubt it! My wife's family is so stereotypically "Irish", despite a few generations of Americanization, so I can only imagine what those crazy fuckers get up to in their natural habitat!

I never really regret starting the fam so early, but I do get a bit wistful thinking about the wandering I should have done before I started growing little people!
Colombia, eh? Most (American) people would probably just think "cartel", but that's what Hollywood tells us to think, isn't it? There are good people everywhere! Probably still some places to be avoided though! Haha.

for sure. some of the nicest people ive met have been in countries with reputations like El Salvador and Honduras, which have the highest murder rates on the planet. The stats dont always tell the truth.

Check out baja california. Land in San Diego, cross to tijuana, rent a car, and drive down the coast to la paz. If I'm not mistaken., ensendan is having a cannabis cup soon, you can make a pit stop there.
