Lights out before Harvesting?

Im wonder if I should give my girls 24hrs or more of darkness before Harvest? I heard its recommend because this way the plant will go into overdrive in sugar production and therefore produce more crystals? Any advice would be appreciated since im harvesting this weekend

I've harvested with and without a period of darkness and to tell you the truth I have not noticed any difference. It's all good. Happy harvesting.

It's a myth.
There is no scientific evidence which supports the theory and in experiments no difference is shown.

especially if you only do 24 hrs, the study says 72 hrs of darkness. 24 ain't gonna do shit

after all the work put into the grow, why not take an extra step and put in darkness. i do it for 48 hours. GL

you won't hurt anything but i've tested the theory around 3 times and found absolutely no difference in quality..... it's all about drying and curing properly.
