My hydro store owner told me he will stop carrying bulbs by the end of this year. That made my decision to finally drag my old ass to LED.
Don't be sad @bk78 at least I have all my veg tents under LED now and 2 flower tents. My next LED light will be bar style. I promise. Maybe even get a Meijui F8 next time

I use both HID and LED and will continue until probably the day I die, HPS are fantastic and doubtful that LED will be able to beat in many regards. Was just suggesting to him another option other then cramming his space with expensive LEDs when you can use HPS, MH, CMH

Also sorry to hear that you got conned by blurples. The LED scene is starting to get a lot better about the misinformation that goes on in it but there is obv still some ways to go that manufacturers can still get away will labelling that crap as full spectrum, or saying that its '1000W' equivalent (whose equivalent?) when it puts out like 90 real watts.
HLG stuff is solid, and if you want to save a few bucks they often sell kits of just the panels and then you just need a driver some wire, a power cable and some wagos and maybe some angle aluminum to hold it all togtether. Hope you figure out your needs.
