like i said im still new

man... i have 1 fem plant going now and im 34 days into flower. i believe from the leaf shape it to be a pure sativa. it dosent smell much... actually for all intents and purposes (i grow less than 3 feet from foot traffic in my hood) there is no smell. the girl was 17" tall when i started 12/12... its 37" now. measured with the fat max and i can read a tape thats 20" in 34 days. is that normal?
to me it looks kind of sad... i have it tied over so it will HIDE behind my tomatos... it gets about 8 hrs of direct natural sunlight and 12 hrs of air conditioned darkness. how long do you think it will take to finish?... just a ballpark figure. i think ive been taking my ladies too early thats why i ask
also of note by sad i mean kind of scraggly... the leaf tips are still soft and green... its healthy, just leggy
what do you think?

Sounds like you might need more and/or better light. You have any pics? Double check your lights; the spectrum, wattage, distance from top of plants, etc. Your plant shouldn't really be "leggy". Is it more stem than leaf?

Leggy sounds pretty normal to me, if it is indeed a sativa. And what the previous poster said, aobut 5-6 more weeks. Most sativa dominant plants are gonna have that long thin stem if there's not much indica in them. And plants only need 6 hours of DIRECT sunlight, so you're getting plenty. I'd be more worried about them having that air condition air, because that means you are moving them every night, which will stress a plant. Unless I'm reading that wrong. Shit, throw a pic up if you can.

your growing a sativa, its supposed to stretch.
You could answwer alot of your own questions if you knew the origin of your beans.. are they proven plants or schwag bagseed?
If its highly sat dom your looking anywhere btween 10-16 weeks+ after the start of flowering and highly sat doms can take a long fucking time to even start showing flowers.

now the good thing for you is that sats look like shit for a long time then bam they start to bulk nicely right near the end.
Everything else sounds all good man, good sun etc.

just keep up the organic amendments eg compost etc, keep her muclched and be patient.

it sound to me like this is indoors next to a window maybe? anyway after it starts flowerering should be 8-10 weeks, different strains vary, but for a good bit of info go to the harvesting and curing sction that should give u more info

its just bagseed. thanks for the info. i started flower on the first day of summer. i DO move it every night. im not too worried about stressing her shes been moving around her whole life and she seems fine. i would love to send a pic or two but i cant figure out how. also i took 2 cuttings after i started her flowering... and they rooted. i wouldnt have done that normally but my cat chewed up two branches so i just tried it. one thing i really love about this plant is that there is NO SMELL... real good for where i am growing im sure its a sativa. it was 17 inches when i started flower, and now its 45 inches. im in my 7th week of flower... im super happy with it
