Hey Kirk, curious about this.. y not jus plant in the center and LST the girls outward? Seems to me that it would be very inefficient especially a micro grow to traverse from one side to the other.... might just be me though. I'm def not a veteran grower lol, and have never done a micro so training techniques be very different than the techniques I have researched relevant to personal grow.when you plant it, plant it on one side of the box and train it across to the other in order to maximize space.
Pomp, you will likely learn much more by seeking information already posted on these forums than you will waiting for answers to "tell me everything I need to know". Not tryna be a dick, but really, common courtesy is research THEN ask more specific questions for clarity.Thank you for your post, Anything else i should know going into this?
I repeat i have never grown before so i need to know all the little things.
Alright Canna, I'd second Kirk's advice there. And if you want a bit more info on it, then check out my first grow (link in sig). It just seemed like the logical thing, to grow from the middle and take the branches out to either side. But in the end it just proved to be a complete hassle, I'm not saying it's not doable, but I really think starting at one end gives you a much easier ride. My current grow I did just that, started over one side and just trained her along the length. It made life easier as it gave me a much better idea of when to flip the lights too. Now she's looking really good, she's filled out at the base, and is just starting to fully fill in at the top end of the plant. If I compare her to the first grow at this point, the difference is massive.Hey Kirk, curious about this.. y not jus plant in the center and LST the girls outward? i just use a regular size pc case. this one looks huge though, awesome! ive never seen one that big before (thats what she said) lol that would have plenty of room. ive seen guys that even use the slim computers that are only about 4" thick. and what i would do if you got that big pc with a clear cover, just spray paint the inside of it white and it will look like it was made like that from the outside...doesnt matter of it matches though cuz your mom dont know nothin about computers anyway right? lol your gonna have to figure somethin out about the smell though if you dont wanna be detected. maybe exhaust the air somewhere where noone will smell it.or make a filterhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811139029
Is this enough of box for two plants or should i just stick to one and any ideas on how to cover to the clear side of the box with anything? I was thinking of some spray paint or something but then i think again and i say that it wouldn't match the other sides of the box. So yeah...
Thank you for the advice if i don't do the PC grow i'm willing to do a bigger grow in my attic but the temp up in there worry's me sometimes cause when its hot it gets a bit heated up there and i wonder if that will effect the plants inside a closed box or something.Alright Canna, I'd second Kirk's advice there. As for you Pomp, I say just get in there. You'll learn endless amounts on your first grow. Tho if you're expecting this to be so stealthy that your mum won't find out, then you're in for some real work. I think most of us on this board consider it to be 'stealthy' if a mate/parent/landloard can pop around, and not notice we're growing... But to stealth it beyond the likes of your mum, in her house... Dunno man, sounds risky.
Good luck all the same.
Go on about the filter Kushdaddy loli just use a regular size pc case. this one looks huge though, awesome! ive never seen one that big before (thats what she said) lol that would have plenty of room. ive seen guys that even use the slim computers that are only about 4" thick. and what i would do if you got that big pc with a clear cover, just spray paint the inside of it white and it will look like it was made like that from the outside...doesnt matter of it matches though cuz your mom dont know nothin about computers anyway right? lol your gonna have to figure somethin out about the smell though if you dont wanna be detected. maybe exhaust the air somewhere where noone will smell it.or make a filter
I'm thinking of using one LED light or maybe by muiltple ones, suggestions or ideas on this are welcomed and the Low Stress Training and Scrgging,Topping what is that? is that what the wires with square holes are forI would only do one plant. ALso, a good way to control heat if you are using a decent sized light is to make a cool tube. I have used plexi glass cut the width of the box by (length -3 inches). if that makes sense. I have a journal i did years ago showing it. But this cab was not stealthy...My mom would have found it, if i lived with her https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/164898-pc-scrog-6-week-flower.html i planted right in the middle and topped. I think you have to top to get it even on both sides, when starting in the middle.
A pc case is probably the hardest way to grow so expect a bunch of mess ups the first few go arounds. And don't expect a ton out of it. But you will learn a lot about training plants. look into LST (Low Stress Training), Scrgging, Topping.
Yep....a bunch of heat that rises to the location of sealed box will require a little more ventilation, but on the plus side if you have lights off during the night, the heat may help stabilize temps more evenly with lights off. Let the weaknesses work for you if you can....hthThank you for the advice if i don't do the PC grow i'm willing to do a bigger grow in my attic but the temp up in there worry's me sometimes cause when its hot it gets a bit heated up there and i wonder if that will effect the plants inside a closed box or something.
