Lil help on pollen please +rep

A friend of mine threw a shit ton of money into growing, but is horrible at every part of it.

He has 30-40 plants going , they've been on 12/12 for 2 weeks. He wants/needs me to come over and sex these shit plants. He has already told me there are definite males with the balls popped , so I assume there's pollen everywhere.

Should I even fuck with it, and risk pollenating my shit when I get home? or is there an easy way to "cleanse" myself ??

It isn't likely that they've released there pollen yet, if they just appeared within the last few days. They open up when they release their pollen, so you should be able to get a good idea whether they have, or not, just by looking at them. Either way, make sure you change your clothes when you get home, and play it safe. And at worst, you could end up with a random seed here and there, but the number will be really low(less than 10, likely). I let seed pods ripen in the open, downstairs from my bloom room, I'm constantly running back and forth, and haven't found more than 10 seeds out of the 20 plants that recently finished. Yeah, you should be careful, but, it's not as threatening as people make it sound(especially with immature seed pods), unless you've been covered with the stuff and then went playing in the bloom room.LOL

Okay, now lets hear the disagreements. :lol:


EDIT: When you say "popped" do you mean "already split open"? In that case, you better be more careful if there's a few plants. Shower even, if you think the contact was heavy.

ya they are popped open , there are 30-40
total plants. Im gonna just bring a change of clothes with me and try to stay as clean as possible. Thanks for the help.

Ok. On my last grow, i found a hermie. I killed that bitch right away, before any of the nuts even grew into bb size. None of them opened, yet i found several seeds in my females! maybe it came from the wind or something, but my grow's air intake is in the bedroom, where i rarely open the window.

I would shower and change clothes for sure, maybe even at his house afterwards, and then again once home.

Its too late for his grow! I hope he like seedy budz. There are recipes online for people who like eating seeds; they are very healthy. Or he could toss a bunch in random forest preserves; Overgrow the government!

do a johnny apple seed of pot trek just take a roadtrip with the seeds and plant them on the sides of the highway and at rest stops, everywhere go to national forest preserves and sow the seeds lol, I've wanted to do this before.

I also put a post up of something similar but i cant find it. Thing is, stoners are just like everyone else...why cant someone else do it? Its such an easy thing to do, ive done it several times, but for some reason, it just hasnt caught on.

More than likely its because its so much easier to spend hour fantasizing about ut, than take a few mintues to acutally do it.

I did it a few times, one time i came back and found hundreds of plants, but it was a dry year. They made it to about 3 feet tall, still in veg, and dehydrated and died. But i still do it whenever i get a chance. In the front cover of the latest high times special edition "global grow 2010" a small article titled "worldwide weed" says that high times gets letters all the time "advocating a botanical uprising in the johnny appleseed tradition" There are a few pictures of a few big plants right next to a police station.
