Hey! Thanks in advance for any help!! First time grower so please excuse.

Ok...3x3x8
Cfl's...4 105w4100k
9 20w 6500k
2 32w 5000
Top soil, cotton compost, perilite
1gal pots so far plan on going to 3gal soon

10 babies...bag seed..5 1/2 weeks
FIM'd at 5 weeks
And lastnight I noticed one with white petals....looks like pistols at the nodes. So looks female...This got me looking at the others and it looks like they are preflowering even tho they are not yet 6 weeks and under 24hr lights. My question is what are those lil white petals/flowers?

Yeah I dont think they are leaves. Its not the yellow leaf at the very top, its the yellow about an inch down. If you zoom you can see they are like lil petals. There are two sets. I can try and get better pic tonight. I cant find any pics online that look like them.

I don't know what it is but it ain't a flower. Other than that weird stuff your plants are beautiful. I have a good buddy that is super smart when it comes to plants I'll bet he knows. @Sativied what's going on with this fellows plants? He should be along shortly...

I agree with Cpappa27, the first pic is a bit misleading but seeing the fimming results on the group shot it seems like a half dead failed leaf or leaflet. Something left over from fimming that grew out in an impartial leaf not being able to do photosynthesis and create chlorophyll and not become green. I've taken macro shots from the bottom side of leaves and other parts of the plant that result in pieces that don't look like cannabis at first sight either.

I'd simply cut it off. If it some freakish cluster of preflowers (seems very unlikely) you can easily tell with a loupe or cheap scope.

Right on!! Well thank you for the insight. Whatever it is just popped up overnight. Its not mold and I have looked at it under my 30x loupe and they really appear to be little petals. But it is growing right out of the FIM spot so thats prob what it is, some half jacked leaves. I will keep an eye on it and still try and get some better pics up later.

they look a little nuked. hold back on nutes. It looks like new or left over growth from fimming that is getting nute lockout. On the group shot you can see overall yellowing on some. This is lockout from fimming/topping a plant that has had a recent strong feeding. one shows yellowing towards one of the bottom leaves(bigger fan leaf). With as dark as your leaves are this is also a sign of toxicity. lower nutes or adjust ph

Ok well I have been worrin about my ph. I have a test kit from a pet store and up and down. I keep 5gal in a jug and ph every time I water. I only started nutes at 4 weeks and then only 1/4 what was recommended. I have done the nutes every other time. I water about every 3-4 day when top soil is dry almost 2inches and plants are starting to droop. They always perk right back up a few hrs after. But this weekend when I wateted then checked run off ph it was very low. So Im waiting to slowly get that adjusted

1/2Top soil, no ferts, 1/4 perilte 1/4 cotton compost

Ph run off was between 5.8 and 6 on all of them. Ph water given was 6.5 roughly.

topsoil is usually pretty hot (full of manures) depending where it comes from. If there is no lime or equivalent in it I would use tap water to help it supplement a little calmag. This in itself will help you regulate the ph a little better. If your tap water is high ph, adjust it to 7 for a few waterings in an attempt to slowly get the ph up. Also less waterings at higher frequencies will prevent nutes in the topsoil from over accumulating and burning new reaching roots. Why cotton Compost?

No real reason on the compost....stupid but was just what they had at the store. Been tryin to find some dolmite in my area local but looks like I will have to break down and order it online.

imho, use nutes that supplement calcium and magnesium. Try to stay away from dolomite. If you are only lacking calmag, buy a good liquid cal mag source and foliar feed. So far your runoff has not been extreme. dolomite is good for stuff like miracle grow soils, or when you know from the very beginning that you will be facing a soil that turns very acidic halfway thru flowering. I think if you get your ph up a little bit you shouldnt have any more problems with magnesium def.
