Lime green foliage vs deep green?

Some strains require higher levels of nitrogen than others.
While this is true, it is also true that some plants exhibit different shades of green/yellow and are 100% healthy plants. I agree
pH of runoff is extremely inaccurate, and in no way a satisfactory indication of the pH of the actual media.

Outside of a proper slurry test, actual lab results, or a quality digital pH soil probe, determinations of soil pH are poppycock.
This is terrible advise. Maybe that is your experience, but I have prevented a lot of issues in soil, promix and coco by simply catching a ph imbalance right away. To say that ph'ing runoff is poppycock is reckless advise man.

Alright everybody, so I finally pH tested my water with a liquid test kit. Out of the tap it is a high 8 or dark green. Once nutes are mixed in pH dropped below 4. I used almost a tablespoon of pH up for a 5gal feeding to bring it to around 6

I could've prevented these issues a while back, lesson learned to always pH test every feeding

Will test pH of run off when I do a non feed day
