The need to elevate P is grossly overstated (for cannabis as well)That's not what I've read over the years. Tomatoes prefer higher P to K tho need plenty of that too where pot prefers more K than P after the stretch to fatten up the buds. Excess P in pot is what gives that 'chem' taste in overfed bud. That's why I prefer Big Bud for my bud booster after an initial dose of P/K, (0-52-34), for the stretch as it's 0-15-35 with 10%S and other goodies. I always cut back on N after the stretch by switching to Lucas Formula feeding.
I'm not saying to eliminate P or any other nute but by adjusting the ratio of nutrients for the different stages of flowering it can make a big difference to the outcome. More important in hydro growing like the 50 DWC grows I've done since '01than in organics but still applicable. With the orgnics I'm getting into these days I just try to make sure there's enough of everything in the soil so the plant can take what it needs when it needs it. Excesses of one over the other can screw that up tho.

Uptake of nutes for a tomato, K uptake is dramatically higher than P:
