Limited time to grow. Suggestions?

Ok so here's the deal. I've attempted to grow indoors once but failed due to overwatering (I'm fairly sure). But I just got my confidence back to grow again when I came across some seeds in a bag that came from some really dank government grown stuff. Anyway, so I have these very decent seeds. I've germinated 4 of them and planted them. I am running three flourescents but I'm probably going to pick up one more. I'm about two days into it (it took less than 24 hours to crack out of the shell).

So here's the issue. I live in an apartment near my university but I have to go home in 8 weeks for an internship and I've tried to think of every option to take the plants with me, but I just don't see how I can keep them away from my parents. Assuming I don't screw this up again and overwater or something, will it be possible to grow some buds in 8 weeks? I can harvest and cure them at home but I just can't grow them there. But I've been reading and I hear people saying the flower for 8 weeks and that's not even counting the vegetative stage. I'm kind of thinking 4 weeks in vegetative and 4 weeks flowering. But I don't pretend to be very knowledgable in this.

A Review: 1. Will I be able to grow smokes in 8 weeks? What kind of yield should I expect in 8 weeks?

i'm sorry, this is as far as I got...... where can I get some of this government grown weed? and you got a seed from it?

from my experience even if you 12/12 from now for 8 weeks i dont think youll get anything you can smoke

id get them to where your living or chuck them

and no, there is no way you can expect to get anything worthwhile out of 4 weeks flowering. you'll have buds, but they wont be mature enough to get the high your looking for. your best bet would be to do 12/12 right off the bat, people are just experimenting with it right now, not sure how it's going. but it sounds to me like your only option, short of finding an outdoor spot.

Ok. That's what I figured. How well would these plants do transferring them from indoors to outdoors. I still haven't ruled out the idea of trusting my roommates to take care of them. It just makes me nervous since this is a pretty delicate process. Do you think by 8 weeks these plants would be hard to screw up if I put my lights on a timer and just asked the rommates to water them when I tell them to? Or make a watering schedule? Who knows. You don't really have to answer these questions I guess but thanks for the quick help anyway.

Also, I'm no serious grower here. I just came across some ridiculous bud and happened to have a couple seeds drop out. No commercial growing here. If I got an 1/8 ounce yield I'd be happy (and I know thats a very light yield compared to what others here are trying to accomplish)

I dont think it can happen.. where does the goverment sell their buds ?

I don't know man. There's guy that drives from Cali to the east coast every month and makes drops in different parts of the state. I get it from one of the drops. Really expensive. Especially for a poor college student. Which is why I thought I might be able to grow a little of my own.

Here's a question. What if I set up some sort of drip watering system and my roommates would only have to fill up the reservoir every now and then. I'll only be gone like a month and a half so I wonder how far along the plants would be in 8 weeks before I leave. Strong enough to withstand careless roommates temporarily taking care of them?

What do you want to know? The guy called it C-6 or Chronic-6. I tried to look up stuff on it but couldn't find anything. I mean it's good stuff and it's expensive. Sticky as hell, fireball nuggets. Covered in red hair. But its about like any other expensive good bud. I've never been out west so I would imagine there is way more amazing stuff to be had. But the Feds have a good thing going.

our point is that this weed is not coming from the feds, the guys fucking with you. and if it were coming from the feds...... well, it's just not.

and btw..... don't be growing and telling people (your room mates), nothing good can happen when you tell people. if you can't do it yourself, then don't do it.

Hey man. Where it came from was not the issue in this post. Everyone just kept asking me about where it came from when that was a minor detail to my situation.

Additionally, I could care less who grew it whether it be George Bush or a little Mexican kid named Jorge. Just trying to answer questions. Who knows where it came from but my guy isn't fucking with me. Maybe someone is fucking with him. I know that somone drives his supply to him and several others from Cali for a fact so for all we know it is what they say it is because it is a big operation. You don't have to believe me. That wasn't the point of me starting this thread.

The reason for the post was to see if there was anyway to speed up the growing process and get even an 1/8 of bud from these four plants. Not discuss whether I got supplied from the powers that be.

And also thanks for the advice but believe it or not they are trustworthy people and they are not just random strangers. We're in this growing experiment together, I just have more of an interest.

I may be new to growing but I am not new to smoking or being smart about the business behind it. But hey, maybe you somehow know exactly where every supply of marijuana comes from anywhere across the country. Or maybe...you don't.
