LimpshoT's free seed Aeroponic grow!! AfghanxMazar & Powerskunk!!

Ok so my first attempt didnt go so well, i made alot of newb mistakes its all about trial and error so i wasted $55 in seeds. I should of used my free seeds first which are 5 afghanxmazar from http://www.marijuana-seeds.nl/ and 5 g13 powerskunk from attitude. I got 8 seeds out of 10 to germ after 48 hours so put them in 1 1/2 rockwool cubes which i preconditioned with rockwool conditioner from supernatural for 24hours.

After 2 days this is what they look like i placed them in 3in netpots with hydrorocks. As far as setup is concerned it is same as last time 400 watt hps, 33 gallon tub in jardin dr80 tent. They are 8 27 watt cfls 6.5k and 2 42 watt 2.7k lights, they are only going to be under cfl's for 1 week then straight to the aeroponic tent under 400watt HPS. good luck, subscribed. It was the tri meter that got me. Meter porn!lol. I ordered from the same place as you. I got northern lights andthje afghan mazar. I am a month in. The mazar is a very diferent indica than northern lights. It is a skinny plant, the only way i know how to say it. Good luck.

verbal update, moved the seedling to the tent under the 400 hps. I was originaly going to keep them under cfl's for a week but i just dont have enough cfl's for 8 seedlings. Dialed my ph to just under 6 and dropped em in there and turned light/pump/airstones/fans/tri-meter all on. Will probably keep the light on for 24hours for 1 day then switch to 18/6.

Cool, do you have a link to your grow??

Day 4 since started germination. Checked ph this morning and it was creeping toward 7 plants look fine except 1 mazar had some slight yellow on it so downed it toward 6, added 5 more gallons of RO water totalling 15 gallons in the Rez, water temps were around 74 so added 1 gallon frozen gatorade bottle now its in mid 60's, air temps were in the upper 80's i need to find a solution to that issue i might invest in a stronger inline fan. Here are some pics.

How's your humidity level? I kept my seedlings under a clear plastic cup dome for the first week of life and they seemed to love that. humidity level inside the cup dome was high 80s.

thanks for stopping by all, yeah my rh is 20% with lights on yeah i probably should put some clear plastic cups on them to raise humidity, did you poke holes in the cups too also eagle??

Yes, definitely poke some holes in the cups. Don't want to suffocate your plants completely. The humidity will still rise quite a bit with the cup domes even though there are holes in them.

The plants are looking healthy, added some clear plastic cups to keep humidity up as suggested by eagle thanks man, will prob keeps on for a few more days. ppm's are around 80's PH held last night to 6.0, water temp was 72f before i changed frozen bottle to rez air temp at plant level low 80's. Light is 33" from seedlings just about the highest i can go, when they get out of the seeding stage i will lower it to about 2'

not really, i didnt change the position of the sprayers i just left them everyonce and a while i will get a little leak but i got a good size drip tray underneath the rez. Yeah this grow is going better than last time hehe. When do you think i should change light schedule to 18/6?? Running them 24 right now which is kinda hard to keep rez temps down.

I was able to cut all the leaks out completely but taking the res lid and grinding down all the support 'fins' around the edge close to the lip with a dremmell tool. I'll put up some pics of that if it doesn't make sense.

They were preventing a fully tight seal from forming and once I ground them down, no more leaks at all, not even a drop.

When do you think i should change light schedule to 18/6?? Running them 24 right now which is kinda hard to keep rez temps down.

I'd probably switch them over about a week to 10 days after the seedlings hatch. Seemed to work for me and the seedlings didn't mind at all. It does definitely help keep the res temps down!

Thanks eagle, yeah i trimmed those plastic tabs off seems to fit better with the added weather stripping.

Seedings have been doing good a third set of leaves are comming in PH has been holding good at 6.0 rez temps 72 air 83, when i put the gallon gatorade jug in temps go to mid 60's for a while, but with running lights 24h it creeps up to low 70's, i just bought this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSAA:US:11&Item=150311260430 recycle timer so the pump wont be on all the time i am going to run it 1min on and 5 min off cycle.

My plan is to keep the humidity cups on for another day and then switch the light cycle to 20/4 then next day 18/6. I plan on a short veg cycle probably going to veg for 2 weeks after 1 week in veg i will add 1/4 nutes of supernatural grow aqua and see how they like it and add more as needed and continue with veg nutes into first week of 12/12 bloom cycle. Now for pics first seedling pic is 1 of the power skunks second is afghan/mazar. I hope i get at least 5 girls that would be nice.

Nice work. They're looking nice and happy in there. I bet that timed pump trick works and once you go off 24 lighting you'll be clear with the temps.

Why are you only veging 2 weeks? I'm interested in seeing how that turns out.

I will be running a short veg cycle to keep them short, tent is only 5'7" then tub takes out som grow space and light. So light all the way up is around 33" right now from the plants so I have only 2 feet or so of grow space or i run the risk of the light being to close to the plants.

Ill let you know how the timer works once i get it i am banking on it working to reduce rez temps, if i get that dialed in then I wouldnt have to open the rez that much just to check ph.

Yesterday i bought some more ducting so i can vent out of the room that the tent is in and it is 5 degrees or so cooler. Air temps 79, water 69, ppm 80's PH holding at 6.0. I switched the light cycle today to 20/4 then next day going to 18/6, i also removed the humidity cups and lowered the light to about 26" I plan to get the light to around 12"-18. Still going to use the cycle timer for my pump and it should lower water temps a bit more.

All the temps look good. You shouldn't have problems if they stay in that range.

Dont see any roots through the netpots yet, hoping anyday now they will show.
