LimPShot's Low Rider#2 x Ak 47 aeroponic Medical MJ legal First grow!!!!

Welcome to my very first grow, with with i decided to go straight to a little aeroponic setup thanks to mr FF https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/22362-30-minute-6-plant-aero.html

Strain- joint DR. Low rider2 x AK47 feminized autoflowering seeds via attitude (arrived 8 days to nw u.s.)
Medium- Aeroponic setup rockwool cubes with hydro rocks, 33 gallon sterlite tub wiht 396gph pump 8 red misters 2 6" airstones, In Secret Jardin DR-80 grow tent.
Lights- 4 27watt cfl's when they sprout for a week then straight into the tent 400 watt lumitek digital ballast with hortilux hps bulb in sunmaster reflector with 6" vents.
Nutrients-supernatural grow for hydro/ and bloom after prob 3-4 week.

So I started to germinate 5 seeds on 11-11 and after 36 hours 1 was showing just about 1 cm or so of taproot and another was showing about .5 cm of tap, with the last three not cracking at all yet. Grabbed both cracked seeds and put them in rockwool very carefully taproot down with tweezers.

Jumping forward to 11-15 i decided to move my grow tent down stairs which it is much cooler when testing out the 400 watt hps tems were hitting the 90's so had to move it all. I also got a all in one PH/PPM/water temp gauge, it is kinda a pain to calibrate the ph but, will be awesome when i get ph calibrated correctly. Here is a picture of my big girl, the second one i can see green in the rockwool should sprout anytime.

Nice first start. Sounds like u know what ur getting into. Well done on the start. Thank god I grew bag seed for my first two harvest's! Good luck.

thanks for stopping by my first sprout is looking a little ill and my second sprout is coming up today i put them in the tent on the 400 hps, but i cant turn my pump on yet because my tap water is hard as hell, i am watering with distilled until thursday when i can get some 5 gall jugs of good water. Once i get this going i hope things will go smoother, but this a learning experience maybe i should have used some bag seeds or maybe my free seeds i got oh well hope the 2 of them survive my 3 other seeds havent sprouted yet eather i think it is because they werent in a warm enough place so i put them in the tent in a plastic container covered up with a towel.

I will get some pics up when my weekend gets here.

I germinated my seeds inside a tuperware container with a slightly cracked lid and lightly wrapped in foil sitting on my cable box. I think the cable box gives off great temp for germinating seeds. I put my seeds into presoaked rockwool as soon as the roots got to be about a 1/2" long.

Ok, its been a few days had to get some Reverse osmosis water at walmart (first time ever been) ppm's were 20 and ph around 6 so brought it down to 5.5 or so. Bad news is my first plant that sprouted died a painful death but the good news is my second sprout is still alive and kicking, and i got 2 more seeds that showed taproot so i placed them in rockwool and put them in the tub now with my pump on!!!

Temps have been in the high 80's i might have to get a stronger fan pulling air out of the tent. The tri meter that i have shows ph/ppm/and water temps, it has been a pain to get the ph meter calibrated so i have been using a regular drop tester until i get it calibrated.

Update, Humidity levels have been around 20% bought a cool mist humidifier at home depot to see if i can get it up seems the 400hps is drying the tent out a bit, temps have been mid 80's which i am happy with and rez temps have been hitting 75f, going to throw some frozen bottles in there tommorrow morning to see if i can get temps down.

2 sprouts i planted arent showing yet, seedling that is showing is starting to open up a little updated pics tommorrow.

Looks like a good setup you got going man, I wish you alot of luck with your auto's. I will keep watching for updates.

Thanks for stopping by nexus i checked out your grow, i will be needing tips from you since you are running autoflowering also. Day 10 since germination started. It has been slow going but i am in no hurry, i took back the humidifier didnt so a thing. Turned my oscillating fan off for now humidity levels have been in the 30's temps mid 80's, i put 2 frozen gatorade bottles in my res got temps down to 71f. ph is a little low around 5, i am using advanced nutrients ph up/down you gotta becarefully with that stuff it is super concentrated i noticed. Still got 1 showing my 2 others havent sprouted yet since i planted them a couple days ago.

Just a writen update, ill get some pics up tommorrow. So my 2 other seeds that were in rockwool didnt sprout, problem was i didnt soak the rockwool cubes properly or germ them temps were too cold, this time and my 1 seed i have been waiting for 2 weeks for the thing to crack and it never did so i gave up on it. So i just have the 1 lr2xak47 still kicking. I should of just tried out my free seeds i have g-13 labs power skunk and i have some afgan/mazar seeds going to germ them by the end of this week because i think it is kind of a waste running my 400 hps with one seedling. I ordered some of this today http://www.discount-hydro.com/productdisp.php?pid=360&navid=34 rockwool conditioner so will be ready for the sprouts.

I am constantly learning everyday about cultivation, i know my next grow will start so much easier lol, and i also ordered some more seeds GH Trainwreck and Lemon skunk from seedboutique.

So i decided to a rez change got the ph around 5.5 ppm's in the 40's with the ph down used, also got some rockwool conditioner and soaking them now for the new seeds i am germinating 5 g13 power skunk and 5 afghan/mazar these are the free seeds i recieved so hopefully some will crack got them wrapped up in paper towels in tupperware container with 5.5 ph water sprayed on them with there own heater in my closet. My lone low rider2-ak is slowly growing its only been in the tent for 6 days so hopefully see some good growth this week.

I germinated all of my seeds in a tupperware container with a slightly cracked lid on top of my cable box. I used peat pellets from germinationkit.com and had all seeds sprout with those 100%.

Well my lr2/ak didnt make it it was just a waste of electricity to try and keep it alive, it never developed any solid root system they had a rough start to begin with i made alot of mistakes but i am going to continue with my free seed grow i have 3 already sprouted, going to keep em on cfl's in a humidity dome for atleast a week.

I might start another journal with my new seeds. I should of started with my free seeds i just got a little impatient and didnt have everything setup and still learning, no worries i have plenty more seeds!!!

It's all about learning by trial and error. I'm sure this batch will turn out. good luck!
