lines in pix

why does my mh make lines in my pix when i get close to it? i have to use my cell phone for pix for now, and its pissing me off i cant get a good pic with the light on.

lol yup. a 400 watt mh. its old but i got it for almost nothing. so should i keep my phone and stuff like that a way from my grow closet?

no i don't think that matters, its just the frequency at which the magnetic ballast runs at that creates those lines. a digital ballast runs at a much higher frequency, thus the lines cannot be seen in pictures taken with those.

I always wondered why some of the pics I see look like they were taken thru a screen door with vertical blinds.

are you serious? think about those waves going through your brain...but i guess were getting it from all over..always wondered this ? too

so is it a bad idea to be sleeping less then 10 feet from a 400 watt mag ballast? idk its a medicated question lol
