Hiya folks, I've got an ongoing thread Coco Hempy over at Opengrow, coming up on 4 years old now.
I've done a fair amount of farting around, but what works for me is straight coco fiber over a layer of Growstones in the bottom of the hempy buckets. The Growstones are silica based and thus no added supplements are needed.
I use CNS 17 nutes, feed at every watering with Grow until buds start to form, then switch over to Ripe, slowly tapering off the amount of nutes to zero a week before harvest. Again, no added supplements, there's plenty of Calcium/Magnesium in the nutes.
There are lots of things to know about growing in coco fiber, but the one
critical thing is this:
Never, ever let your coco dry out completely. Ever!
If you see wilted leaves because you left it too long, might as well rip them up and start over...it's that critical.
OK, 'nuff preachin'. Thread:

Note: I have tried a couple of times to maintain a thread here at RIU, but I'm just too lazy
