I take all these. Just started lithium. I'm scared. I am not depressed, never suicidal, just a roller coaster of constant levels of worry. It keeps me awake all night, racing thoughts. The lithium was added to slow my mind down as was the klonopin. I can't sleep and narcotics don't work. I pass out from 30 -65 mg of tryptophan and melatonin. I simply cannot fall asleep. Any of you guys know what I'm talking about?

edit: if a mod sees this, I meant for medicating s
ection

you need neurontin to slow your racing thoughts. lithium is a dirty drug, do your labs when scheduled you can go toxic pretty quick :eyesmoke:

i can say i truly understand michael jackson and his plight :eyesmoke:
I understand. I have the same problem. Severe PTSD, depression, social anxiety disorder, agoraphobia, etc... I have just chosen to only smoke weed and when I sleep I sleep. I don't work, I grow thats all I've ever done so I can do that. I undestand most can't get away with living the way I do. I've paid a price; however, I feel its been worth it.

When I smoke, right after peak, I go into bed. And I lay there for hours. Weed is a one time shot for me, I don't get double stoned, so I feel smoking again would be wasteful. I was thinking about dropping lithium and maybe adding lunes tea to the mix

i take 300mg twice a day of lithium for my bi-polar tendicies. the funny thing is this, even before i started taking and still while on the lithium, i can "feel" when im starting to have an episode. they are mild, nothing extreme, but i still have them, and dont like it at all. been on 300mg x2 @day for about 3 yrs now. also, medical mj doesnt seem to have any good or bad effects. i have a med card for other issues (rare rheumatiod disease). they also had me on lamictol(sp) but i was having SEVERE anger issues (and 1 violent outburst causing me to bust out my wondshield on my truck and destroy the hood as well). im not normally a violent outburst person. pissed off yes, but not violent. so doc took me off of the lamictol(sp).

imo, the lithium helps about 80% of the time, but occasionally i still get those staring at the ceiling when trying to go to sleep nights. 1x a month on avg.

Lamictal helped me greatly with the anger spikes. I'm just realizing that I'm going to be medicated for life. Coming off all this would be a nightmare. I build tolerances then switch meds. I just started a new dr who seems to be more interested in thinning out dosages. We shall see, blood on Thursday then appt to see if we increase.
