little problem

My plant has been in flower for about 9.5 weeks now. so...here's the problem. The main cola looks ripe and as done as its gonna get but the bottom branches are still producing white hairs. so the question is, can i cut off the main cola without killing the rest of the plant and let the bottom finish? or am I just gonna have to deal with having some premature herb in this batch? I'll have pics up asap to show you all what Im talking about. Thanks in advance.

Looks like poor canopy penetration, what lights you using? Yes, You could always just harvest the main cola and let the rest go a week or so. It will let the popcorn get more light and mature a little more. good Luck

well i just chopped the main cola...it left alot of room to position the lights alot closer to the lower branches. Got 3/4 oz wet from it which is more than i expected since that wasnt even a quater of what was on the plant

im using cfls btw...1 300w eq and about 4 smaller ones around it all 2700k
