Little (very tiny) hard shelled thing inside each individual calyx.. what are these?

Thank u all....that's pretty much what I'd deduced as all plants an calyxs have them old and young...but still all same size ....jusyvfew these bloddy white wormy things now...but picking off manually seem to be doing the trick... Thanx all

it's completely normal for this to happen, I've seen it many, many times. Quite documented as well. It's sorta like the plants, um, menstrual cycle (forgive the analogy), it's an un-pollinated seed.
I think there is a technical term/name for it, but it escapes me at the moment

Will the plant grow out of it or will it stay hermie and grow more seeds? Sorry for taging on so late

You may have saved my night years later. How did you crop turn out? did they form mature seeds

Thank god i searched around and found this thread..... Found a couple sacks late in flower, started digging into calyx's everywhere and found these in every single one- started thinking I was completely fucked. Most my plants have 2-4 weeks to go. The one that had a bad case of the ball sacks got harvested early, I wasnt about to risk it. My plants are in a trellis, no way to inspect them properly.

Experienced grower here, I'm dealing with this right now. Did a ton of research cause it scared the living crap out of me last year and I almost had a heart attack but yes, they are ovules. I have no idea why they develop in some strains, but they didn't affect the quality or smoke. Super weird but I have them again...no idea why, and again I freaked for a second only to do yet again more research to make sure I was right. I'm in week 5 right now. My orange crush is a bad ass and the whole room is stunning regardless of these weird little ovule specks.
