I always liked that song and had a Bananarama cassette in the case. I never listened to Bananarama with dudes in the car but if anyone asked while picking out a tape I'd just say "Have to have something for the girls". When I was alone driving by myself I'd crank it.
I thought this was interesting. From my observation it appears to be true.

I can't explain why, but for some reason that song was playing in my head today. I was never a fan of the group or the song, but never minded them. Pulled up the tune on YT and thought the live version was worth a post.
I don't think I was ever concerned about my machismo as to hide my Bangles cassettes
, and I wore out Dee-lite's World Clique tape. Having Gary Stewart and Freddy Fender among my Faith No More and BOC collections, AWB and PJ Harvey and Bromberg.....I've always been mostly guitar rock, but am pleased to not be confined to it. I find good stuff in the old stuff these days from the most unlikely places.I dare you to not increase the volume ....but hey man....it's the Bee Gees ! How embarrassing.
