Lock out or cal mag deficiency

Hello. So my new plants have popped up with this shit on the older leaves it looks a gold colour. From what I can tell it's either nutrient lock out or cal mag deficiency. I use tap water ph of 5.5 to 6.5 and use canna coco nutrients and follow their chart. also canna coco coir. I've not had this problem with previous plants upto now. I dont use cal mag as I use tap water which comes out the tap with a ph of 7.1. I've flushed them with a water phd at 6.0 the see if its lock out first. Anybody had this before. They have also been growing quite slow. Thanks

Hi Mozz,
Ya, it looks like a Mg deficiency. If yiu just want to add Mg...then us epsom salts. The sukfur won't hurt anything. 1 tsp/gal max. Or calmag if you choose that route. I didn't see any brown spots so maybe go with es.

Thanks pal. I've looked at my ingredients on my nutrients and they contain all the trace nutrients aswel so I think I've hit them with to much nutrients and corsed a lock out !! I've also checked with my water supplier and my water has trace nutrients aswel. So the nutrients are there but the plant cant take them up! I've give them a good flush for two days now so hopefully that sorts it. I'll feed with light solution after the coco dries out. Thanks for the advise mate appreciate it

Mozz,
I can't say I agree with you...but you're there with the plant and know it's feeding history.

It's been my experience that nutrient salt lockouts usually cause more then one deficiency. While you are only showing one. Marijuana is a Mg hog...and some strains worse then others. White Widow for example needs extra Mg beyond standard nute profiles.

..so if it doesn't resolve...then hit it with the epsom.
Cheers,

Mozz,
That does nor surprise me. First grew WW a decade ago...and learned all about Mg then. Still love the Widow...though only one in the garden at th moment. Most WW derivative strains also have that characteristic. White Russian and even G15Widow...but not so bad.

I'd feed a small WW like that at 400 ppm or about 1/4 strength. Maybe a bit more...because she looks more indica dom.
Good luck and cheers,
JD
