Lockout??

Curious what's going in here?? My other girl is luscious and doing well. Started the same time, same nutrients, same ph. Everything the same. What can I do to help it bounce back?? I gave it a dose of grow nutrients, as well as a nitrogen boost, and cal-mag. Ph of 6.3..temp and humidy is good. I'm stumped on this one. All I can figure is that it may be locked out??? Help would be appreciated please. This isn't my first rodeo but I'm scratching my head.

not a nitrogen deficiency .. N def will always start from the bottom as its a mobile element .. so plant will relocate it at top if there is a need
hard to tell which nutrient is culprit

you proably have an imbalance inside your medium, blocking assimilation of another nutrient
are you sure you need calmag

First time trying this soil, and it's been my worse results yet!! I hate it. Soil is still moist despite the look. The soil is fox farm, and when I first dumped it into my pots I was like wtf is this?? Not using this stuff again.

I agree the soil looks rough, I wasn't impressed. It's a fox farm blend too. I was surprised it's hungry as I gave it a full dose last water. Should infuse again or transplant into a better medium??

Which fox farm soil? I use ocean forest and it never looks like that. I mix FFOF with pro mix hp. I wouldn't transplant but I would pull all those big wood chunks out. I feed every watering so I'd keep feeding if it was my plant.

It was some other kind, thought I'd try it. Never again. Can't remember what it's called now. But it's garbage. I'm very disappointed

I gave it cal-mag last watering, I'll dose it again if I have to.

liquid fertilizer usually contain enough calmag, except if you have soft water
by giving more calmag you will create more harm than good

What type of light source? How close to the light are you? I add perlite and worm castings to my Fox Farm blend of Happy Frog and Ocean Harvest, and I've never seen my plants look like that. I've not needed cal-Mag EVER using FF soil and nutes.

Same strain as the "good looking" plants?

I'm using an 8 bulb t5 at about 10 inches away, which is what I've come to prefer. Now that you mention it I think I'm using the happy from blend, with no perlite or worn castungs added. I would usually do a blend with print when using an organic soil. I'll post a pic of the other one

Another thing to consider: Fox Farms nutes are made specifically for Fox farm soils. You should not need any Cal-Mag as a supplement. I'd not use OTHER brands of nutes WITH Fox Farms soils. You will end up with some minerals being excessive while others may be deficient.

Could be what's happening, I am using DNF nutrients

I'd water the mutant looking plant with PLAIN distilled water for a week. Then use FF nutes only, at 1/2 rec dosage. FF like all nute manufacturers wants you to deplete your nute reserves as fast as possible. MOAR money for them, at the expense of plant health.

Also, the other girl look great right? If you're wondering why they look so weird I've topped and tied them down to train them

Nah, you have used nutes you shouldn't have. The DW will slowly get rid of them. Some strains can tolerate lots of nutes more then others can.

And yeah, u can switch mediums, sure. The plant may get shocked for a day or 2.
