Hello, Firstly i would like to say i have looked all over the web about this heat detection stuff but my judgment is blurred because people worry about heating and cooling their room this is NOT a problem for me my only worry is the heat detection.
I am considering starting a grow in my loft but i see a lot of people on other forums talking about how the whole loft has to be fully insulated. I understand that a loft can get very warm in the summer and very cold in the winter i live in england as well. However i will have a AC unit in my loft blowing the hot air into my bathroom so heat is not an issue, also i will have powerful heaters so the cold is not an issue.
One thing i want to make clear on this is that the only problem on my mind is the heat from the tent and the pigs above i have this theory that i would like to share with you if you could tell me if you agree that would really help.
So i am going to have a sealed tent in my loft but the rest of my loft has a slight gap between the floor and bottom of roof all the way around my house which allows air in so when i have a lot of negative pressure in my loft because of my 12 inch rvk extraction fan a lot of cold air will be pulled into the loft. So the loft itself should be very cold as my lights will be on at night through winter. My point being if the loft is cold doesn't that mean from FLIR cameras and thermal imaging my roof will seem the same as my neighbours. Would it be possible to see the tent glowing on the thermal imaging through my roof even though its surrounded by freezing cold air.
In my eyes i think it would be hard to see it because of the freezing cold air surrounding it and because its sealed.
Any opinions welcome thanks.
