they can take up to two weeks to show sex,
if they dont show in a couple days then you got a problem ie. light leak...

I've heard some claims of products that will speed up flowering but I'm skeptical. I've waited for over 3 weeks for some pure Sativas to bloom. I suspect you'll see something in the next couple of days.

just an fyi - it is not day 13 of flower if they haven't shown sex yet. its is day 13 since you changed the lights to 12/12 but not day 13 of flower. if you look at it that way you'll be trying to harvest them 2 weeks early. "day 1 of flowering" is the fist day the plant actually shows you its flower. there is no way to rush them along just take comfort in the fact that males generally show sex first so you may have 3 females there. good luck to you.

ahh so the 9 weeks flower time starts when they show sex i didn't know that, i was hoping to have some b-day skunk but oh well. I wouldn't of harvested early cos i'll go by the tich's instead of the packet. oh well only 3 more hours to wait so ill sit back and :eyesmoke:.

Cheers for the quick responses.

P.s do you think my lights will be sufficient for the whole grow? they went 12/12 after 10 days of veg

The more you need weed, the slower they show, the more you watch, the less they grow.
At least you're not seeing testes.

Cheer up! Eli's comin'

Is that a fact?

If so my 2nd grow are about 6 weeks into the flowering process, not 9

My second grow was thrown into 12/12 after 3 weeks of veg, and didn't show sex until about 3 weeks after

So is that true bud?

If that is true, my second grow which i believed were 9 weeks in to the flowering stage are actually 6 weeks in

They were vegged for 3 weeks and thrown into 12/12, and didnt show sex until about 3 weeks after

Is that a fact bud?

Just i never heard this before

how bad is a small amount of light getting in because surely in the wild ther would be moonlight ect.
I believe moonlight does not effect plants, just because it is bright dont mean its got the power of the sun lol, i believe the moon is like a incandesent light bulb lol

Different folks count blast off times differently. IMO, most don't wait for the first pistil to start the countdown.
I do.

Moonlight is the same light as the sun surely. Because the moon doesn't give off light it's just a reflection of the suns light (obviously a lot weaker)

if you email your seed company they will tell you the time listed for each strain for flowering is from the first sign of flower. when you put your plants into a 12/12 schedule at 3 weeks old they hadn't yet reached sexual maturity. they can't be "in flower" if they aren't mature enough to reproduce yet. IMO you should use the number of days or weeks in flower as a guide only but yes you should count that time from the first sign of flower not from the very begining of 12/12.

Does pre-sexing count? I have pre-pistils 10 days before 12/12... So once I switched would I already be in 'flower'???
