Long-Term Storage

If you just have too much bud (a problem I don't have yet but hope to have this year), what's the best way to store it long-term? Vacuum packed in the freezer after curing for a few months?

If you've been lucky enough to have had this problem, how have you dealt with it? Thanks.

I would store it in glass jars, in a dark place with humidity packs in it. That is just me, I worry about freezing it due to a few factors. Here is a decent article about it, take a look if you like.

That was a great article, thanks. I've heard of people storing their buds in mason jars in the dark for several years. I'm just scared of mold.

I have these dark-amber Ball Mason jars that block a lot of light and 99% of UV. Maybe I should place the cured ones into my crawlspace where it's usually dark and cooler than the rest of the house.

If you dont put the bud in jars too wet and burp them you will have no mold issues and the bud will last over a year.

Just get some Bovida packs or similar, 62% works nice, get one step down, I think 58, if you like it a little drier. I once found some bud in one of my c-vaults that was probably close to two years old and it still had some life to it. It was in a large c-vault and had a 62 pack in it. Must've been 4 ounces. lol.

I just dry and cure and store in these food grade air tight'ish Plastic tubs I buy em from the hardware store (Bunnings- for any ozzies on)
I used to use jars but something bigger and not see through and can easily stack has its advantages.

I keep em in jars w a 62% pack in a box.
Cool in the crawl space.
After a year they come out smelling and tasting awesome.
Went to sell it cheap and they kept coming back for more!
I was thinking of ice cream buckets for less containers and lids to burp open.
