I've never attempted long term storage before. I dried and cured some buds, and when they were fully cured and just a bit dank, I put them up in mason jars with two piece lids. After 3 months they have really dried out a lot. The results are just as good as ever, perhaps a bit harsher. But I still like a bit of dankiness instead of the dry crumbly effect.

Do I have to remoisten each jar once a month or something? Or maybe remoisten only when its coming out for use?

Also, I have tried storing in a fridge but that seems to accelerate drying. I wanted cooler than about 80 degrees max, which is the best I can do for a few summer months. Is that better than using the fridge?

Vacuum sealed in freezer. Comes out as wet as the day you put it in. DO NOT let it thaw and refreeze, freezerburn tastes horrible. Smaller portions in multiple bags makes for easier personal use, but beware the laws concerning multiple storage containers. I wouldnt recomend re-moisten for long term storage. Are you going to moisten it with a sterile fluid? So much care to avoid mold while growing, scares me to keep wet things at room temp. Since the plant can ripe/decay as with foods, Im assuming that freezing it, stops bacteria from growing (until it thaws). anyone else folow my logic? Anyhow, freezer for 1yr, no issues...however it works.

I thought once you got the jars down to 60% rh and stopped burping that they bud wouldn't gain or lose moisture as long as the jars were sealed. or is it vacuum sealed?

There's some curing info around several forums concerning RH when nuggs are finally sealed for a while....after a few seasons, ya kinda keep the feel and timing down pat....I've got nuggs dated back to dec '10....as I only vape, I like my nuggs a bit drier so I always grind tomorrows 'erb today...let it sit on toke tray over night and then grind again...to perfect vape consistancy....IMO...if nugs get more harsh during cure, something wasn't quite right when jared...

I like to use the wide mouth mason jar attachment on my foodsaver. Then I store weed in there with oxygen absorbing packets and vacuum seal it. I store in a dark place.

Thanks to all. When you freeze vacuum sealed buds, do you further protect them by puttingit in tupperware or something, or just straight in the freezer? And what about vacuum sealed but in a fridge instead of a freezer. I have lots of fridge space, not so much freezer.
