Hey all I'm Kelly new to celebrating an empty nest and excited that my kids are finally out of the house and on their own so I can do 2 things. 1)Reclaim their bedrooms as viable real estate and 2)Never have to hide my weed again. both the hubby and I are getting ready to retire and are in the planning phase of selling off one of our homes, renting the other and taking off to travel but that means I only have a couple of years left to grow my own before its time to hit the open the road. I told my husband I just want to spend the rest of our lives high and happy and if I can do that without going bankrupt I'll be one happy ass woman.

I'm growing 6 plants at the moment (legally prop 215) and highly enjoying messing around with LST or mainlining or somewhere in between. I'm a city girl so much that my hubby calls me the sidewalk girl and I have the total opposite of a green thumb so it should be interesting to see if I can grow my plants all the way to harvest. I've been lurking around these forums for a couple of years so I've read a ton of your posts. I look forward to reading more.

Welcome to RIU! we're glad to have you, especially a woman (we aren't real rare here, but still LOL)!

Sounds like we have the same visions! I have faith that you can do it, just read, read and read some more! ;) I too was a city girl but I always really belonged in the country.

Hope you enjoy the forum, there are some great folks here.

Hey and thanks for the warm welcome. I had to laugh when I saw "girls smoke too" (I can't remember where I saw that..lol let me hit that bong one more time, might help my memory. ;) )

Are you still in the city or did you make it to the country? I'm an idiot when comes to country living lol and I'll admit it. The country is pretty but it ain't for me, I'll stick to concrete and the sound of traffic.

Thank you! I might just do that. the writer in me needs somewhere to "talk" about growing and I don't mix my mainstream lifestyle with my alternative lifestyle if you know what I mean.

good luck to you. its my 4th season growing but this season is my first LSTing and "mainling" since mine is def a generic version of mainling
but ill get it. throw some pics up of your ladies....lady lol :weed:

Hey nice to meet ya. Maybe between my travels and your hopeful travels we'll bump into each other one day and burn one. I have thrown up some pics in my posts and I'm getting ready to start a journal so keep an eye out.

Welcome to RIU. I'm attempting to get my growing method down to the point were I can retire and live off what I grow and sell. My overhead is not that much, and I too want to travel. I'll keep an eye open for your grow journal.

I have to see that...do tell! You're welcome! we are a family here, just like the other poster said. Long as you don't mind the occasional asshead being well...an asshead!

There's a definite learning curve but I am handling it in stride, thank you! I love it here, the trees, flowers and cows make me so happy :)
It's really not bad. No one bothers us here, a moment or two I had to pull out the gun. But it was some dumb young guys running from the police and running through my woods and the occasional armadillo. Our resident currently iis named Percy...LMAO.. :mrgreen:

Oh no! cows scare the bajeezus out of me! lol someone should spoof the old series "green acres" and make it about city folk moving to the country to grow weed. :weed:
