Hi Guys, I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong lately. I've been growing indoors for about 8 years and always with great success. Lately I cant even get a popped seed to sprout out of the soil. What am I doing wrong all of a sudden?
A little background..... I grow with 400W of MH light and switch to 400W HPS to flower in a 24"x36"x60" tent. Always nice buds and great smoke and always got seeds through Herbies. When Herbies stopped transactions with credit cards I switched to other places like ministry of cannabis and south oregon. I never got a seed from either place that even popped on a wet paper towel so I sent cash to Herbies to get "good seeds" again. I put 4 seeds on a paper towel and all 4 popped in 2 days. I transferred them, taproot down to a red solo cup with fox farms happy frog and a little extra perlite mixed in under an HLG 65 quantum board LED. Its been 4 days and I see nothing coming up yet. I dont know if Im watering too much or not enough or if I'm not waiting long enough? Any help is appreciated. Im just getting frustrated cause this was never a problem before. Thanks guys

Is the medium cold? I know QBs tend to radiate heat upward rather than project it down like a MH does.
Most of my LED growing has been flower only and cmh or mh for veg. But just set up a small 2x4 in a new house and got a QB for veg, the house is really cold too because we use log burners to heat the area we chill in and save on heating the house.
lol I digress, point is I added small propagators under the pots to keep the root zone comfortable the plants soon picked up pace.

Do you have any way of measuring the medium temps?

How deep did you put them? Take a toothpick and search for them gently to see what's going on.
made a hole with a toothpick then dropped it in. The seed casing was a little under soil level which i just moved a little soil on top of it

its definitely not real warm where they are. I think Im gonna hand a couple incandescent bulbs in there with the LED just to get the temp up

I do pop them before soil setting though and let tails get 1/4 inch long .

I put mine in water for 24 hours, then damp paper towel for a few days. Once the taproot is long enough, I slice a rapid rooter on the side all the way to the middle to make a little pocket. Place the seedling taproot down in the rooter. Then put them in a propogator with a heating pad for 2 days. 100% success rate so far.

If all of a sudden you're having trouble where you started buying the seeds you might want to buy them somewhere else or maybe Chuck some pollen and make some, good luck!

Are you planting according to the moon phases?
Just Kidding, I'm having problems with a few seeds myself right now bought off of breeders but not having problems with 10 year old seeds from a pollen chuck. Makes you wonder now a days?
