Longmont- good or bad?

Hey guys.

Planning on moving out there at the end of the year here (which is in a couple weeks).
I am looking to be in Boulder county and from what Ive seen on the internet, Longmont looks like the most affordable option. However, I have a buddy out there says that Longmont doesn't like our kind around there. He said they kicked out all the dispensaries and they aren't very mmj friendly..

Any thoughts? The rent out there is almost too cheap to resist.

are you looking to run a dispensary? I'm guessing not, so don't worry about it. an individual patient can do thier own thing anywhere in the State; cities and counties have no say over that (thank God) - they can suck it. that said, discretion in some areas is still a good thing to avoid being hassled. of course, they could really care less about the 3-12 plant house grows.

hey there as long as you have a red card or pending with doc recommendation ,application and
stick to legal plant count 3 flower and 3 veg you'll be fine i know some places here in colorado have made things a
pain like passing ordinace cities like broomfield and westminster

Thanks guys. Anyone hear anything about Longmont- specifically??
yeah, they (city council) don't like dispensaries and want everyone and their dog to register their grows. but as an individual patient, you have a LOT more rights and there is nothing in the Constitution saying a patient needs anything more than a Dr's recommendation (you don't even need to register with the State Registry if you don't want to. although I find it to be an 'insurance card' more then anything. personally, i'd rather not go to court without it though). If you want to open/run a Disp, Longmont is not the place right now. otherwise, am i missing something in the question?

Longmont blows. Tweekers and uptight cops typical of places that have lots of tweekers. Not an mmj friendly community overall.
This is what I have heard...

I will be in the boulder area next week to house hunt. Any tips? I have been told to get a place in the country because of seclusion and no cops. I don't know how to find a place out there. All i know is craigslist...

Longmont isn't that bad. Especially when you consider that 3 dispensaries line it's borders. Don't become a tweeker or an alcoholic and the police wont bother you. Not sure if you're still searching, but I thought I would give you an honest opinion from someone who spends a lot of their time there.
Good Luck,
