Look What I Made!

So this was an idea that came to me a few weeks ago. It's a Horticulture Lighting Group 65 Watt Quantum Board LED mounted to a music stand!

It allows me precisely position it almost anywhere in the garden for added lumens.

It's 3000k, bright as hell and cheap! I might add another at the other end where the screen is :)

Not sure. That is a thought, but it seems like these radiate the light straight out. I love it, though- it makes a big difference, even though it's only 65 watts. I can position the stand in a variety of ways and even get it close to the plants. I'll have to experiment with distance, etc. I paid less than $100 for light kit and $20 for the stand :)

Nice. I am considering the next size up for $150 for my 3x3 veg tent. It would replace 200 watts of t-5 2 footers.

They make a shiny reflector for the boards now. It’s 4 sides attached to the board and angles out for more spread. The hlg site says no need for direct lighting like in a tent but for your purpose it would be good.

I see how the stand comes with pre drilled heat vents. Convenient. Probably need that when feverishly paging through the music during a symphony. :-)

I’m buying another one this week. It is absolutely perfect for additional side/top lighting in my setup. No heat sink, one thing to plug in, two holes to drill in the stand.

Glad you mentioned that. The 135 watt one I saw is bigger and heavier. 2 of yours would be more flexible for uses too. Hmmmmmm

So, you can do stuff like this with it:
