It should be literally impossible to get life for growing anything.
Life is prison isn't 5 years. You don't get life for going into a bank, pistol whipping people and robbing it? People average what? 10 years for murder, maybe. I cannot believe in an election year a few dudes in Wisconsin are looking at life for growing marijuana.
If these guys got caught in an abandoned Wal-mart building and had it loaded with commercial weed from out of the country to sell on the black market to recreational users, there is no way in fuck they should be looking at over 10 years then. That is ridiculous.

yes gladstoned life is a dumb penalty but life in prison is a 25 year sentance.. its not like its life without parole.. and if they kept in under 999 they wouldnt be facing life... yes yes yes yes yes NOBODY should be put in prison for growing anything for any amount of time.. but the law is there all's they needed to do is read it and know to stay under 999 if they didn't want to risk life in prison...they wont get life nobody has ever gotten life in prison for growing bud

ya they may go to prison for marijuana and never get out that never get out part is on them.. 1 they either got killed for fucking with the wrong person... or 2 they did something in prison to extend their stay... im not disagreeing with anybody that the law is stupid as hell.. to stumpjumper your right alot of child molesters dont get life but they also have a 90% chance of getting killed in prison while they are in there.... all's you can do about this is bitch you cant do ANYTHING bc the federal gov wont listen to a pot head that knows whats up

Prison has lots of people that shouldn't be there, just like the streets has lots of people that shouldn't be there. If I was to get caught growing 3000 plants I would expect a little more than probation and a small fine. It blew my fucking mind to see that life is an option - at any number. Its 5 years max for up to 999 plants. With no record, there is a very good chance I would be mulling that shit over. Someone without a record probably would get about 12-18 months tops. There is an entire spectrum of difference with life. That means if you are growing 2000 plants and someone finds it - you need to kill them. Do you understand that? That produces shoot-outs and crazy shit were innocent people die, cuz these are normal dudes looking at life in prison. This mentality is a huge reason why our country is so fucked up right now. Everyone under the age of 25 should be fed constant, non-stop education, not bullshit.
A noncriminal grower being caught up in a political war should not be put in a cell with murders and rapists. And if they die defending themselves that is not "on them". That is on our system.

They say Prison makes you a better crimanal. well I guess these guys will just have to teach inmates (on the down low) how to cultavate cannabis, if they share there knolage with 50 inmates a year, when those inmates get out they can grow there own Pot. 50 people ayear for x 25 years is 1250 people, they can tell a few people each. now you got 10,000 with the knowlage of growing

greed is a subjective term, I tend to avoid. any other business the term can be interchanged with ambition. however for kicks I've entertained myself with an episode or two of American Greed. now that's extreme corporate type greed, the kind where real ppl get hurt or financially devistated while someone pulls a scam. ambitious ppl rock, selfish lying scammers are a different story.
gov't, big pharma, tobacco co's and most of corporate america tend to be unethical, greedy even. i wouldn't trust a representative from any of those cults. If I desired to grow a field of ganja, that doesnt make me greedy. I'm a patient, it's for my mental and physical health. If ppl like the medicine, they can throw me a few bucks. that's where the problem starts w the other greedy thugs, taxin hoes... buncha cherry pie hunters..
