the demand is still high thou for end consumer...what has happened is wholesale has dropped and end consumer is paying the same, our area the dispansary donations are 180 to 250 depending on how much amber trichomes lol - like peilo said its qp limit - during outdoor harvest they didnt take anything.....

southeast michigan wholesale is 140 to 250 wholesale for indoor but for end consumers its 250 to 325 with some people getting middlemaned/highballed for up to 400 ...

Firstly, I've been following the MI threads for a while now and you always seem to contribute very good information. Thank you for that.

Now, on 12-16-2010, in the "Next and last state..." thread, you stated the following: "there is more patients then growers so we are definitly in high demand as growers... " Does this month old quote slightly contradict your more recent post above, or are the two somehow mutually exclusive to one another? That is, do both actually hold true - there being a high demand for growers as_well_as there being a very much so flooded market? I'm especially looking forward to reading further discussion or information that you may have on this topic.

Regardless, I will be joining the MI revolution soon enough (also traveling very light). Due to locality, the Ann Arbor area is of *prime* consideration. Not to steer the thread intentionally off-topic, but are the neighboring towns to Ann Arbor supposed to be just as 420 friendly as the well known city, itself (with respect to dispensaries and decriminalization)? A fair bit less expensive than the city? Craigslist turns up a number of "420 friendly" postings, but I imagine it will be slightly more difficult finding a roommate/homeowner/landlord ok with the actual growing process...though maybe a small apartment and some semi-stealth closet CFLs might be acceptable at start.

ok, first off im not the "fuzz" and i thought this was a good community until i read some of those post... Its very possible to get it that cheap, I pay that now lol... and i am legal and im able to carry large ammounts because of my patients. I have been on this site for a long time... I might not post much but i read. Lol damn E-thugs on rollitup.org now boo.
Well, consider what you are asking for..... You want A+ Meds in your very own words "CHEAP". Good luck finding a QP for $700. That might get you a half lb of Mexican dirt weed, but not a 1/4 of A+. Especially if as you say, quality is dropping.

It is really all about who you know. The reason the wholesale price is becoming a little cheaper is growers are growing more and more, the industry is progressing and getting larger in Michigan. I feel as if the demand is still there but growers have so much coming out of their shops every month that they want to get rid of it as fast as they can and drop the price. I know middlemen that are making more then growers these days, never used to be like this. Buying large amounts for 3k a pound and selling them for 4k to even as high as 4800 a pound.

Another problem is the big boys out in cali can not get rid of high volume like they used to, now they have to move it out to other states, just increasing the supply that much more.

Do realize that so far only about 50k patients have registered with the state. Although there is currently little to no info regarding the number of registered caregivers, it's safe to say that most caregivers are also patients themselves. Michigan currently has a total population of just under 10 million. Just about a half a percent of Michigan's total population is currently registered.
The market may seem flooded, particularly if you are young. For those in their 40's+, the market is virtually the same as it's always been.
Think Michigan is flooded? Go to Cali. That said, I know many that are making a damn good living in Cali. In my opinion, the market in Mi is getting inundated with decent to average meds. For those who can grow top notch, there will always be a market.

I know people out in "flooded" cali as well. And even there if you have top notch meds you can always find a buyer if you try hard enough, clubs are still paying 3800 out there for top notch. Not too many people around Michigan have "top notch".

I had a harvest a few months ago that was complete garbage, but it was still orange and fluffy and had decent bag appeal. I dropped my wholesale price down to $1600 for a lb and people couldn't get enough of it, flew off the shelves faster then anything I have ever had. So yeah if you price your meds right you can still get rid of anything out here in MI.

But for all those people sitting on meds, you are either asking too much or you do not know the right people, or a combination of both.

Yes both statements are accurate in my belief, growers are indeed the minority and at the same time the market is flooded, really it is just who you know, what it comes down to the same old underground system we have had for years and years as its still a very sensitive subject. I feel that the medical system has done a few things for us but its not as dramatic of an impact as one might expect just yet, what I mean by that it still hasn't really effected our marijuana market is that the end consumer is still paying pretty much the same prices, however, in some cases people now have more options as far as meds now, and also more people have indoor marijuana available to them now when in the past it was rare, thats in part due to new technologies. The medical system effects the growers and people inside the business the most, because of the flooded market the middlemen make just as much or more as growers in some cases but growers are growing more and selling more and often at highly discounted wholesale prices. Really what it comes down to its ALL WHO YOU KNOW - this market is still pretty much still an underground black market as it was before and will remain like that for a long time to come as its a sensitive subject that some people will always treat as if its still illegal.

I think the medical system has appropriately benefited our senior citizens the most as far as consumers, when I go to a dispensary to donate meds what I see is: VETERANS and Babyboomers or older..

as for your question about where to move and grow Ill drop a few hints for you...Obviously you want an urban or semi-urban area which is modernized but at the same time flat broke, flint and detroit for example both have low budget for the police and there is few police and they have better things to do...these are both fairly lawless environments as far as marijuana and in turn they are lenient on marijuana, most importantly research what the local authorities are saying and especially any statements the prosecutor in the area has made regarding medical marijuana. You dont want people smelling it or thieves so what youd want is some kind of farmhouse just outside of a big city like flint or detroit.

eh? Michigan outdoor more bag appeal then indoor?

NEVER HAPPENED

Not saying its not as good but for BAG APPEAL to average consumer the Michigan Outdoor Blows compared to indoor - Lets face it - most people dont know any better - they want pretty indoor buds not the woodsy outdoor look
preach on, i been smokin outdoor since december 10th, and cant wait for my harvest coming up... not to say the outdoor im smoking is not good, its damn good weed. i do dig my own indoor a lot though, as do other people in comparison to the 8 or so outdoor strains ive had in the interim,

Your looking for good meds at a cheap price, with your cheap ass so you can resale at a even higher price. Your not finding no real dank for that banana money your trying spend......FOH!
