So I have been growing AK48 now for the last 4 grows and going into the 5th and i'm looking for a change...
What can I say about this strain? Well first off if you are starting out on your first grow THIS is the strain for you. At only 25 for 5 feminized seeds you can't go wrong. On my first grow (as a complete n00b, which I still am to be fair) I managed to get 7oz from one plant with an average of 4.5oz per plant. I cloned the 7oz'r and have been happily growing it since.
It clones very easily almost 100% success rate and any failures are because I fcuked up not down to fault of genetics. Its a consistant big yielder. Its tough it has taken lows of 11c and highs of 35c in my tent this grow due to a ventilation problem I had and still produces big growth. Finally to top it off it finishes in approx 55 days! My current grow is only at 49 days and it looks ready to harvest, Almost 70% orange calyxes and big dense buds!
The only down side is I have found it to be a little mould susceptible in my previous grows, however I have fixed my airflow issues and I can report no mould in this grow so again I think that was user error.
Smoke wise I can't comment. I'm off the stuff the last year or so for health reasons (although hopefully that'll be sorted soon
) but the reports i've got is that its pretty good and quite strong especially after a few weeks cure.
Why do I want to swap from this great strain? Consumer demand. After a year I've been asked to change up the menu.
So in my existing grow I've tried a few strains (from a recent attitude seedbank promotion) Kandy Kush, Crtitical Jack, Holy Grail Kush, Blue Dream Haze, Lambo and Pineapple express. All of these seeds with the exception of the Pineapple are 10week flowering period. They are now in their 7th week and bud production is not even a 5th of the AK48 also they are more gangly with big distances vetween nodes. The Pineapple is actually quite a big yielder by the looks of it but it is a bit stretchier than the AK48 and online reviews say the smoke aint great. I'm not sure but it looks like I could cut it with the AK48 looks pretty done so that may be a possibility if it proves to be a good smoke but I'm keen to try more strains.
So what I'm looking for is strain that'll take a bit of a beating with temps/nutes whatever. Will yield 4oz on average in 55 days flower and is a killer smoke. Not a lot to ask for is it.
I'd like to hear fellow ak48 growers thoughts if there are any out there.

very bad crap like smoking hay. "never again"
but the stronger one gets frosty allover. even the bigger leaves are just packed with trichomes. great for hasch production! not very lemony tho 
. extreme potent but not very good yielder. smake taste woody like the smell in a forrest after rain. but hard to find phenos!
