looking for advice (pics)

hey guys, just based off this picture does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be wrong with my plants? the bottom leaves are yellowing and droopy and the plants arent as green as they used to be.. watering every 2 days, 50/50 mix of mg soil and some other potting soil, under cfls in a small box, temps may be alittle high.. 80-85

the bottom leaves will brown and fall off naturally. How old are they, have you started them on nutes. Cfl's wont give them the dark green foliage like an mh would, so the lighter color is normal. How far from the light are they and are you running an intake into the box ?

they are within 3 or 4 inches of the lights.. 1 have 2 pcs fans one for intake and one for exhaust.. they are about 3 and a half weeks old.. i havent used any nutes yet cause the MG soil has those time released nutes...

thats your problem, slow release nutes are the worst thing to grow in. Plants cant seperate the nutes needed, from the nutes absorbed. It will get worse in flower, and you cant really do anything to fix it. Its 100 % nute burn. I keep my clones within 2 inches usually closer to one inch from fluoros. You could try adding B1 to help with the shock, but again could be adding insult to injury in thge nute burn spectrum

what if i transplant into some differnt soil?

I use the mg time release as well, what I found out..... is not to water so often. get those roots searching for water, I'd water every 4 or 5 days, soak 'em. You will notice the leafs might look a little droopy but after a couple of hours they will come back! good luck.

i might have to start over.. the plants arent looking to good.. i think MG was a bad choice for my grow.. just not really any good soils available where im at.. just some standard potting soil.. but i think thats gunna be a better choice.. and i actually have some on hand... i didnt water for 4 days.. i just watered this morning.. well see, but they are burnt pretty bad.

Yeah mg sucks so transplant them to something better.try for something thats organic without timed released nutes.I went to foxfarm ocean forest and added about 30% perlite to it for better drainage.If your watering every 2 days then you be watering to much too so let them dry out some before ya water.I watered my babys every 7 days while in 10oz cups.Pick up a moisture meter at lowes,homedepot or maybe your local hardware store.There cheap as hell and will help ya know when to water.the wieght of your pots will tell ya when to water too.heavy dont water,lite,water.
Thing with mg is the more ya water the more nutes are released. I know what ya mean about finding good soil besides hitting a indoor garden shop.Some home depots carry promix and I've heard good things about that stuff.i looked all over the place for soil and ended up driveing to the garden store and got the ocean forest.might be a little pricey but why fight the whole grow due to cheap ass soil. Just get the good stuff and be done with it.

yeah thats what im wishing i did, cause i seriously have been fighting this whole grow.. i get them looking nice and than something goes wrong over and over. ive got them on this new water schedule and transplanted one of em to experiment.. im giving em about a week before i just start germing some new seeds with differnt soil..
