Looking for an expert mentor for a inexperienced grower

Hey so i'm thinking of starting a grow in my closet 3m high and roughly 2.5m wide and i have a budget of around £800 my only problem is that because i am a 1st grower(i do have a horticultural background so not a complete novice) i feel daunted of taking this process on myself and i would love to have a willing and experienced grower guide and advise me on the equipment i should get for my grow because frankly my brain is overloaded with so much info that i'm finding it impossible to figure out where to start:shock: So if anyone would like to guide me through this journey then please get in touch :)

Research, read, study, research some more. There is more information on the Web about growing than believable, the good growers did and do their homework. They put the hours into learning and understanding. So many people here want the results, but don't bother studying and just wing it, begging for help at the slightest thing.

Start reading, and studying, no better way to learn to grow by growing, go for it, and back up your efforts with study and searching :)

Get a 250w HPS/MH switchable ballast and a bunch of fans for starters. 800 is a fair bit of money for start up so you should be good. Invest in a pH reader and some good nutrients and your golden.

ill start off by saying don't rush take your time and you will figure out what u need...theres 3 basic things light, grow medium and water...How much time do you have a day to pay attention to your crop...im by far not an expert but i haven't had a bad run for what im trying to do yet...

I can say I'm an expert grower, this doesn't mean I don't ever have plant issues or that I don't ask for help often.

Knowing when help is needed and the basics come from experience and reading. Never be afraid to ask for help and growing weed is a lifelong learning process.

Invest in a Pot growing Bible, my personal choice is one written by Cervantes. I swear by it.

You can always ask in the forums, if your still not sure, consult a single grower you have established a dialog with.

Tried and true techniques are popular, with 'strange' techniques still being tested out. I started off in your same boat with a bit of horticulture experience and a dream of not being at the mercy of street dealers. Now I can grow with the best of them when my environment co-operates.

P.S.

Growing inside during summer sucks.

research is good if you don't get conflicting answers everywhere you look :wall:
the best way is to try it, if it works fantastic if it doesnt try something else.. thats what i did.

trial and error is the best if you ask me. if the problem happens again, you know exactly what to do before it gets worse.

what do you mean by that? you just need to control temps with a big ass air conditioner.
