I am going to just say that this is my first grow. I did a soil grow with 18 plants a decade ago with success and just never dabbled again. Now I am back at it! I am having a few issues along the way and I was hoping that someone from this excellent forum could help me out, thanks in advance for any help!
Quick History: On 6/7/2015 I germinated 3 bag seeds. On 6/9/2015 I put all 3 bag seeds into a folgers container. I was curious to know how well they would grow only a few inches away from each other. Long story short on about day 12 I removed the other two because they were taking away from the large plants growth. I didn't want to surgically remove them because I could of potentially affected the large plants root growth. On 6/9/2015 I also decided to germinate more bag seeds; I know, I should of started all of them at once! On 6/10/2015 I had 3 sprouts in the Folgers container and 5 sprouts in individual plastic quart containers. At this point I was already using nutrients. (1 drop big grow, 3 drops big bloom, and a drop of molasses per 1 quart of water) I would load that nutrient solution into a spray bottle and spray them a few times a day alternating between flush water and nutrient solution. On 6/16/2015 I transplanted all of the bag seed plants into 3 gallon containers. Most of them seemed close to being root bound. On 6/16/2015 I also received 3x Northern Lights #5 / Haze hybridized seeds from Sensei Seeds. Once germinated on 6/17/2015 I planted them into 5 gallon Home Depot buckets. This will make the age of the bag seeds 19 days old. This will make the age of the Northern Lights seeds 11 days old. At this point I think I need to slow down on their water consumption. I have been watering each of them with roughly an eighth of a gallon per day and a majority of the time that has been with nutrient solution progressively getting stronger. I have no temperature or humidity gauge so I will be going to the store right this moment to purchase one this way I can give you guys that information as well. Once again, thanks for any help in advance! I would love to hear any thoughts, criticisms, or any kind of guidance!
Strain #1: Northern Lights #5 / Haze (Sensei Seeds)
Number of Plants: 3
Grow Type: Hydro? (I use soiless but I maintain the nutrients manually without a reservoir)
Grow Stage: Vegetative
Setup: Closet Grow
Light: 4 x T8 Fluorescent Tubes @ 32 Watts each
Nutrients: Fox Farms (Big Grow, Big Bloom) I have also used Molasses once per week!
Medium: Pro Mix BX
PPM: N/A (I have nothing that can test this at the moment)
PH: 6
RH: N/A
Room Temperature: N/A
Solution Temperature: Room Temp
Room Dimensions: 3.5 ft wide x 6 ft length x 8 ft height
Pests: I notice a fruit fly every now and then but I suspect they are harmless.
Strain #2: Bag Seed ("Mid")
Number of Plants: 6
Grow Type: Hydro? (I use soiless but I maintain the nutrients manually without a reservoir)
Grow Stage: Vegetative (Germinated on 6/9/2015)
Setup: Closet Grow
Light: 4 x T8 Fluorescent Tubes @ 32 Watts each

Medium: Pro Mix BX
PPM: N/A (I have nothing that can test this at the moment)

Solution Temperature: Room Temp
Room Dimensions: 3.5 ft wide x 6 ft length x 8 ft height

PROBLEM: There has been slight yellowing on the edges of a few plants. I trimmed off the really bad sections so no more energy was devoted to repair. My assumption was it was a Nitrogen deficiency so I increased Nitrogen intake. It progressed the slightest bit so after some research my assumption was that it was actually Nitrogen Toxicity. The leaves are also curling up on a few of the plants. I feel like over watering may have been an issue. I also had the light about 6-10 inches from most of the plants and I have moved it higher so it is roughly a 1.5 feet from the canopy.
