Is a fem'd seed one from a herm'd plant?

Are fem'd seeds more suceptable to becoming a herm?

If a fem'd seed isn't from a herm'd plant, how are they made?





Please give this some research, I'm off to class to learn about Ecosystem classification and i'm looking forward to the responses.

they call hermies fem. hermies will come up fem. but they can hermie. if its not to full of pollen pods u can clip them away. but u have to be vigilantabout it. the big comapnies use collidial silver to make fems. and that is using a cell phone charger and some .999 fine silver

the short and simple answer is yes, fem seeds come from plants that have both male and female flowers. however the methods vary from person to person. some people use colloidal silver or gibberellic(sp?) acid to force male flowers to grow on a female plant and the resulting seeds are fem'd. another less reliable / less professional way is to light stress a female into producing male flowers, and when the plant pollinates herself, the resulting seeds are fems. (just a side note, all fem seeds have a potential to turn out herms. pick good breeders, and treat your girlies good)

if fem seeds are made the right way then plants from them are no more likely to herm than plants from regular seeds.
some companys use stress like light leaks,and some let their female plants flower for alot longer than normal until they produce pollen,thats the best way by stress.
others use collidial silver until the females produce pollen.they then use that pollen to pollinate other females or the same plants.
