Looking for information on LED grow room lights

If you want the best results then compare two lights by seeing previously documented side by sides or pay attention to the features, are they worth it, can the manufacturer even recommend the right way to use them? There's what everyone has, otherwise known as the industry standard high Luminous efficiency grow light, then there's the real deal. Compare the two the best you can based on scientific evidence & feild comparisons. Otherwise, the majority are all the same with the same issues.

I went with an X3 for flower and will be putting my X2 veg into service in a few weeks. Like you, I'm very impressed by the construction quality and the overall "usability" of the Growcraft lights. One nice thing about having a veg and a flower light from Growcraft is that I have one driver in the tent and one outside the tent. If I need the heat from the driver, I just use the driver in the tent. For grows when my garage is warm, I just swap the wires over to the driver outside. Push locks are a Godsend.

If you haven't seen it, check out their new X6 light - pretty much the best PPFD and uniformity I've seen in a 2' x 4' light. Very impressive.

"My biggest problem was relearning everything because LED's are quite a different animal than HID's in my basement space" - I'm new enough that I never grew with incandescents but I've read that it takes a little adjusting. A lot less heat which can be a blessing or a curse, right?

I saw the X6 and was going to buy it along with their controller, but the controller has been delayed until who knows when, so opted for an Illuminar Ilogic 8.
A lot less heat is right, I could heat my room in the basement off an HID light, now I have to use a heater to keep my plants happpy.

Understood. Conventional wisdom is that ambient temps should be higher when using LED's.

I'll be growing one plant in a 4' by 4' tent, its just going to be for personal use. Too old to be going out to buy the stuff now.
