Ok a lot of good opinions here. One thought I'm having though is, has the mechanisms for water and food transportation been affected to the point that it'll affect bud growth?

No way. It'll end up being thicker there. There's a reason people supercrop besides height reasons. It'll be like a 8 lane highway vs a 4 in that spot, lol. Well kinda, lol.
Edit: well maybe. That thing is pretty harshed on. I still think it'll totally be fine, but it'll take a bit.

I super cropped this og kush hard right at flip and supported the top with a yoyo for a week while it healed. It grew a huge knuckle and never skipped a beat. I would think you would see if it's going to be a problem in the next 7-10 days by how the plant is doing above the break.

Bugger, is that your gdp with 11 finger leaves? Hopefully it will pull through mate. I've snapped 2 stems just not quite as bad, duct tape and a support fixed it.
Maybe also you could cut a clone from one of the branches above the split as a backup in case it goes south.

Its fine being all split open like that. Indoors with no bugs you dont even have to tape them. I dont even tape my outdoors when they burst like that.

It is the 11 finger gdp. I waited too long to bend. I've put tape around the area, now hopefully she pulls through. It looks like she's still growing a bit, just a lot slower than she was, and a bit droopier.

It is still supported. I put tape around it anyways, just to keep anything out like dust/dirt.
This is the exact reason that I keep grafting tape on hand. I had about 7 splits this year on my outdoor run, and only lost 1 branch, mostly due to high winds and long heavy branches. The nice thing about grafting tape, is over time, as the stem heals, it will degrade and fall off, not producing a choke point like duct tape or others will.
Hopefully everything above your tape will be OK, if not, the rest of the plant will just fill out in place of it.
Lost an entire center section last year over at the neighbors while we were on vacation. She tried to fix it, but it was a goner by the time we got back, and the rest of what was left, exploded in growth, so didn't really lose too much in the end.

One of my plants top bud was so heavy it literally snapped the main stem right in half holding on by strands...I just propped it up with a zip tie to a stake no tape nothing, and it finished with no issues. Pretty crazy how resilient these plants are.

Damn sorry to hear mate I was keen to see how your plant went since it was so similar to mine. Fingers crossed she bounces back better than before. If she starts to look bad grab some clones off her.

Sometimes when they get beat up they come back even stronger, so i have my fngers crossed for you that this is going to happen.
All you can do now is wait. These plants are pretty resilient. I bet you'll be fine.
Although we did try to tell you not to put that nail through her
